Theresa loves all things yoga, and her classes reflect this. She infuses her teaching of the asanas with descriptions of the muscles and anatomy involved, directing the mind to the energy of the pose, the breath, and being in the present moment.
Theresa’s classes are rich with the classical approach outlined in Patanjali’s Eight-Limbed Path, including simple chants and mind-quieting techniques. Her degree in psychology and her knowledge of nutrition also play a part in her teaching, as she treats her students to daily quotes and recommended diets to live a more peaceful, happy and healthy lifestyle.
Theresa has a calming and soothing style that helps her students quiet their mind and focus on the work. She teaches Level 1 and 2 classes, as well as a Gentle Yoga class at Focus. Theresa received her certification from Moksha Yoga.
