Freya loves helping her students explore the strength, balance and serenity that a yoga practice can bring to their lives. She was drawn to yoga’s uniqueness nearly 16 years ago, and has been sharing her passion for this time-honored practice as a teacher since receiving her 200-hour certification from Moksha Yoga in 2009.
She believes that yoga can, and should, be enjoyed by everyone. Freya strives to share its valuable offerings no matter where her students are on their yoga journey. Her teaching expertise spans from new yoga students to life-long practitioners of all levels. Freya teaches many workshops, private clients, pre/post-natal students, and parents with babies and children. She has an extensive fitness background, which allows her to help make the practice of yoga feel more familiar and accessible to those coming from more traditional fitness backgrounds.
Freya’s teaching combines aspects of many yoga styles and influences that she has studied and enjoyed over the years. She has a friendly, down-to-earth style, a strong knowledge of anatomy, and is creative with the use of props to make poses more accessible and effective. Her cueing is precise and easy to understand and she is skilled at handling personal requests and helping students adapt their practice to accommodate their individual needs. All of Freya’s classes include postures and sequences that help create strength, balance, and flexibility and foster the link between the body, breath, mind and spirit.
